Today's Obsession: Polar FT4

Can someone please hit me?

7 days. I've been frugal for 7 days.

But...

Today, I have found something that I really need. A heart rate monitor. Yes, a heart rate monitor. Okay, let me explain this...

A pound of body fat = 3,500 calories. So if you burn an extra 500 calories/day for a week or eat 500 calories less each day, you would lose one pound of fat per week (500 calories x 7 day = 3,500 calories).

Really, who has time to count calories? Who wants to count calories? I don't want to do the math when I should be enjoying a meal. Seriously, I'd rather burn them than eat less. I just love food. That being said.. say hello to the Polar FT4, my future new friend.

Being a follower of everything related to health & fitness on all social media, I regularly come across pictures of this pink Polar Heart Rate Monitor Watches. What is it exactly? For runners... (okay, I'm a runner now - even if I've just started this week..) so like I said, for runners who simply want to run, the FT4 heart rate monitor watch records your workout data in a user-friendly way. The device show when your fitness is improving, while also displaying calories burned each workout.

Oh, I'm hooked, I just have to get one!! I know there are lot of HRMs out there but the Polar FT4 has a lot of good reviews and is definitely the most popular. In the fitness blog world, this watch is the equivalent of the Naked Palette in the beauty blog world. A must have!

Remember...this is a new & improved me. I'm not going to buy it now. Instead, I will wait and see if I'm still a 'runner' at the end of the month. Then, I will really think hard, see if I really need it and buy it. :-)

One thing for sure, I just love the color... and it happens that I'm a big fan of new gadgets (especially if they are pink!)

Look at all the 'girlie' gadgets... I bought them during a trip in Tokyo, one of my favorite cities.
