If I say 'green smoothie', do you say:
a) eh?
b) yummy
c) ewww
Seriously, my first impression was "ewwww! I could never drink that. That's disgusting." Wrong. Green smoothies are something you have to ease into (for most people, anyway). If you use the right greens, you really can only taste the fruits. I promise.
Meet Kale, my new friend with benefits.
I tend to have a green smoothie every morning before work. Here are my suggestions:
- Choose your base: water, fresh made juice
- Chose your green: kale, spinach, parsley
- Choose your fruit: bananas, mangos, pineapples, lemons, apples, pears, berries, etc...
I find that having a green smoothie helps my energy in the morning. It's quick, healthy and easy to drink.
