Face Favorites: Bronzers

One of the products that I cannot live without is bronzer. Yup, for me bronzers aren't a summer essential, they are an all year round essential. Once you find a bronzer that works for your skin color, trust me... it may become your favorite product to date. 

For me, it's just part of my makeup routine that I can't miss. I apply it after my foundation, before my blush and it just warms up my complexion. It also gives a bit more structure to my face. Okay so I'm very picky with my bronzers as I'm not a fan of the orange or all glitter look. I just love matte bronzers. Here are my two favorites:

I LOVE the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil medium/deep Matte Bronzer ($38).  
1. An excellent all-purpose bronzer: it works great for both contouring and giving an all over sun kissed glow.
2. It is matte! The matte formula gives a more natural look. 
3. It does not have an orange under tone. Beautiful brown/tan color. 
4. It is buildable. Very easy to create either a soft or dramatic contoured look with. 
5. It actually smells like chocolate (but I don't smell it after the application). 

I've been using the MAC Matte Bronzing powder ($30) for years and still love the way it makes my skin look. I will not wear a bronzer with shimmer or sparkle. I have a strong aversion to it, mostly because I think it looks odd when only your face is glittering in the sunlight (and not the rest of your body). I use it in most everyday makeup looks. I use it when I want a more dramatic contoured look (a bit darker than the Too Faced bronzer).
