Killing Sarai (In the Company of Killers #1) by J.A. Redmerski
393 pages
I have to give a 5 must read stars!!
The story: Sarai is a girl who has been prisoner of a Mexican drug lord since she has been fourteen. She was not kidnapped but was handed by her own mother. Now she is stuck there. Her life has been filled with drugs, brutality, murder and slavery. Out there in the middle of Mexico, there is literally no where she can go. Until one night, she hears him. Victor. He is an American hit man who is hired by Javier (the drug lord) to kill a man. All Sarai wants is to get home. Victor is a cold-blooded, hard-man trained from an early age to be a killer... and now he's her only hope for survival. This is their story.
My review: Okay. Yeah. I fell for the bad guy (Ah! I love bad boys). This is a story about life, love, trust & betrayal. I loved this book a lot. Their relationship is not your typical love story. WHAT. A. PAIR. There is nothing better than reading a book and loving the hero and heroine both equally. Killing Sarai kept me on my toes from the first page until the end. I was captivated by the thrilling story. I was completely absorbed in the story, the characters and found myself hanging onto each word like it was my lifeline. It was brilliant! This is a book that I'd definitely recommend to everyone.
Love,
J.
